Sod Disclaimer

No Warranty or Guarantee

Agriscape Sod does not, under any circumstances, guarantee or warranty sod. Grass is a living organism. It is sliced up from its roots, stacked on a pallet, and then hauled to you. Just like humans are vulnerable to infection and disease after surgery, sod is more vulnerable to disease and pest during this time after being harvested. A new lawn needs daily care and attention for about a month after installation. Improved turf grasses receive regular irrigation and treatment on the farm, and it is imperative that the same excellent care and treatment continues once it is installed in your yard. As with any living thing, less care will result in disease and poor health.

Fungus and Pests

As stated above, new sod is incredibly vulnerable after harvest and is susceptible to pest and disease--especially fungus. It is the purchaser's responsibility to be proactive and to schedule treatment for fungus the same day as installation, and for pests within the month of installation, especially during the wet, hot summer months in Florida. Failure to do so is neglectful will result in brown, dying sod. This is beyond the control of Agriscape Sod.

Falling Apart

Sod pieces may fall apart when installing. This is especially true for Bahia. Falling apart is unsightly and makes installing more difficult, however it is normal and will not impact how it will grow. Sod plugs and sprigs are all made of broken pieces of sod.

Brown

Bahia is the only grass that may be brown upon arrival. After a freeze, Zoysia and Bimini Bermuda may also appear brown. These grass types go dormant for protection. The majority of the year, all grass types besides Bahia should arrive green and healthy.

Acceptance

If the sod is accepted on delivery, then the sale is final. No complaints will be entertained.
