Estimate Questions

Are Estimates free?

Yes. Estimates are completely free. We are not high-pressure salesmen. We view each estimate as an opportunity to help our customers solve a problem. Most of the time, we are able to solve the problem with our sod replacement services, and other times we refer them to a lawn treatment company to correct a soil, pest, or disease problem. We may also refer a landscaper or land grading service. If our services are out of budget, we happily offer alternatives that can help get the project done under a budget, without compromising the quality of work.

Are your prices negotiable?

In short, no. We do not negotiate our prices for our sod or services,  but we are happy to discuss money-saving alternatives. We are here to help you figure out a solution on your budget.

Does someone need to be home when the estimator comes to evaluate the site?

No, as long as we have permission to take measurements on the property, we are able to conduct a site evaluation even if no one is home. Use marking paint to identify the areas needing sod replacement.

How do I get an estimate?

Scheduling an estimate is really quick! You can schedule a date and time to meet with an estimator at your location by clicking here:

Or send photos to our estimator's line insert text line phone number along with your name, address, email address, and a brief description of what you'd like to be done.

How long are estimates valid?

Estimates are valid for 90 days. Grass regrows and sod prices change, so after 90 days, you would need to schedule another free estimate so we can reevaluate any changes to the site and provide another estimate.

How soon can I get an estimate?

Our knowledgeable, full-time estimator will reach out to you to find the best time in your schedule to meet. Simply schedule a free estimate online by visiting INSERT URL HERE You can also call or text INSERT PHONE NUMBER HERE to begin the process

I know a guy that can do it cheaper; can you match his price?

 No.

It’s still a good idea to get a few estimates to confirm measurements. Be sure that guy has insurance, is licensed, and is a registered entity.

Hiring an uninsured contractor puts you at risk of being responsible for any damages or injuries, including medical bills and lost wages, if injured while on your property.

I know the square footage. Why does an estimator still need to come see my yard?

Knowing the square footage needed is a great first step! However, there are several factors that determine the materials, tools, and time needed for a sod replacement project. Our estimators look for accessibility for our sod delivery truck, dump truck, and tractors, including, but not limited to:

• obstructions

• sandy/saturated soil

• septics tanks

• drain fields

• fences and narrow gates

• high traffic roads

• narrow roads

• limited staging area

• clearance 9 feet wide and high

• Interference from other contractors

By evaluating the site, we are able to provide a more accurate estimate so there aren't any surprise costs down the road.

What if I don't agree with the amount on the quote?

We understand that Agriscape Sod will not be a match for every customer, therefore, we welcome any questions and discussions that may help you make a decision. We encourage everyone to get multiple estimates. Only you can determine if a sod company will provide the value and service you need to complete your project. We refuse to compromise quality in order to lower our prices.

If I accept the quote, soon can I get my job scheduled?

Typically we are booked out 3-4 weeks, but constructions delays are common and jobs may be rescheduled to be completed sooner. Scheduling is greatly affected by weather and we will keep customers updated.

What are your prices based on?

Our installation prices are based on site accessibility, location, sod type, services requested, and estimated time required.

What happens after I accept the quote?

Once the quote is accepted, a non-refundable deposit is required to secure a spot on our schedule. The materials are ordered, trucking is secured, tools and equipment are prepared. It is the responsibility of the homeowner  to call 811 three full business days prior to the scheduled installation. The homeowner is also responsible for flagging and correcting any issues with the sprinkler system prior to installation day.
