How far in advance do I need to call for a delivery?

Orders need to be placed online by 4:00 PM at least 2 business days before the desired delivery date.

Can the delivery driver place the pallets of sod where I need them?

All sod orders are unloaded curbside. If we are requested to place anywhere else, a Delivery Waiver must be signed. Once the waiver is signed, as long as the 9-foot-wide forklift can access the areas, the delivery driver can place the pallets where you need them. Please use marking paint or irrigation flags to mark where you'd like the pallets placed if you cannot be onsite at the time of delivery.

Can you give a delivery time?

Unfortunately, we are not able to predict delays in the sod field or traffic, so we cannot give a delivery time. We will provide a window of time to expect your sod delivery.

Does someone need to be home during delivery?

No, the sod can be delivered even if no one is home. The forklift is 9 feet wide and may not be able to drop off pallets in fenced areas and backyards.

How does the actual delivery process work?

Once the order is placed online, our staff coordinates trucking and orders the sod to be cut from the field. On delivery day, the sod is harvested the same day it will be delivered, the driver loads up the sod pallets onto the truck, covers them with tarp, straps them down, and then delivers to customers.

How many pallets fit on a truck?

Our semi tractor trailers can haul up to 20 pallets per truck, however, when the ground is saturated after rain, we can sometimes only haul 15-18. Our residential delivery truck can carry up to 12 pallets per load.

How soon must I lay the sod after it arrives?

If you are DIYing your sod please have the area prepared and ready for sod installation before it is delivered. For optimal results, we strongly recommend installing the sod within 24 hours of delivery. In the hot, summer months, leave the sod on the pallets no longer than 48 hours. It will begin to compost under the extreme weight and heat.
